Grayers spend quite a bit of time on the road and a good fair amount in the weaving mills of India. Our travels through Chennai (formerly Madras), the home of the madras cloth, is always a highlight. The local weavers perfected the art of blending colorful yarns into the recognizable "madras cloth." This season we dug into the 1950's archives of the weaving mill that has been in the same family for over 50 years. The soft and light cloth is ideal for the hot and humid weather of he subcontinent.
